“What should I eat after a workout?
“When should I do cardio?”
“Do I need to do squats even though they hurt my back?”
I get questions like these in my inbox every day from people who want to make progress in the gym,get healthier, and look and feel better. The problem is that no matter where you turn online, someone has a “best” solution.
Even though it my not be best for you to load up on crunchy seaweed snacks after a workout, you can bet that someone thinks that’s the best method.
Even though you might be busy and only have 35 minutes to work out everyday, there are still people saying that you need to be doing 30 minutes of cardio AFTER every workout – or you’ll never see any results.
So what can you do?
Turn your brain off. Find one person that you trust, who cares about your results, and DO EVERYTHING THEY SAY.
Imagine that you have a Tesla Roadster, and it’s making a clunking noise when you accelerate. So you bring it to 4 different repair shops that specialize in Ford, GNC, Toyotas, and Daewoo. You’re gonna get 4 completely different opinions on what your car needs, and none of them are going to be appropriate for you!
If you’ve got a Tesla, so go to someone who specializes in repairing Teslas. Then, let him intelligently assess and come up with a plan of action for getting your car back to its full potential. And if you trust this mechanic’s abilities, and believe they have your best interests in mind, then there’s no need to go online and search “Best Tesla Repair Tips“, or “10 Ways to Repair your Tesla Using Common Vegetables“.
You’re busy, you have a job that you’re good at, and family and friends that you want to see.
The same applies to fitness.
Most people burn out before they even start by overthinking and debating the 15 different diets that their friends have done, the 9 gyms around their house, boot camps, and Richard Simmons exercise VHS tapes.
Let me make your life easier.
Find a pro, get on a plan, and follow the plan.
So yea, maybe you like me and you’ve been reading my stuff for years. In which case, thanks! I appreciate it!
Maybe you just stumbled on this and are hoping for more borderline dad jokes about fitness. Great, thanks for stopping by!
Maybe you have another coach that you really dig, and you think that my voodoo is weak in comparison. Doesn’t matter. The point is that you need to develop a myopic focus on fitness, find a plan, and stick with it.
You can get results on lots of different programs. Even crummy ones that you find online. But that becomes a lot harder the more you jump around when you fail to stick to one thing, or constantly second guess your original choice.
Let me take the guess work out of getting fit. I wont promise you a 14 day transformation, or that you’ll lose 10lbs in 3 days.
But I promise that if you stick with me, I’ll change the way you feel, the way you look, and the way you think about getting and staying fit.
Don’t yo-yo any more. I like you and want you to be crazy successful. Fill out the form, and I’ll give you a call and we can chat about your goals and the best way to get there.
If the best thing for you is NOT me, I have no problem telling you that. I’m pretty selective with who I choose to work with.
So fill out the form. What’s the worst that could happen? We talk on the phone for a few minutes about your goals and leave with both us being happier and pumped about the day? That’s not even that bad.
