If you’re like me, you know next to nothing about how to work out and how to eat. Kidding. If you’re like me, you’re 7 feet tall and devilishly handsome.

However, for those of you who do wish to improve your physique and diet, I have a 1-2 punch that will make your body supple and happy, and help you repair from all the hard work you’re putting in at the gym.

Most nutritionist like to argue about everything, amount of protein necessary, should we eat wheat, is beef jerky a primary food group, etc. But what they all agree on, across the board is that people need to eat more veggies. Here’s how to do that without actually doing it.

QUIZ TIME

Do you work out?

A) yes, happily!
B) no, I hate my body and want to live to be 38
C) I use the Hawaii chair

Do you have a protein shake after every workout?

A) yes
B) no
C) no, but i do try to keep the black tar heroin to a minimum after a workout.

Do you eat enough veggies on a daily basis?

A) no
B) no
C) only if KFC counts as a veggie.

If you answered A to all of these questions, here’s your easy solution:

When making your protein shake after your workout, make sure to include 25% of your body weight in grams of high quality protein, some sort of fast carb (like a spotted brown banana), and a liquid of your choosing. Stay away from eggnog, faygo, and horchata please.
Now, add in a stalk of celery, a handful of spinach, and a carrot. If you’re feeling more ambitious, or have vanilla protein, a tomato works well too. You don’t taste any of the veggies, but you get a richer shake that does the body good, while you’re doing the body good. It’s a win win win.

Feel free to play with any of the amounts or kinds of veggies. Let me know if you find a combo that you like better.
