this is how you lose weight and keep it off

Sometimes, when I get on a call with a new client, they are surprised by my process. I ask a sh!t TON of questions. So many, in fact, that the client is talking almost the ENTIRE time.

I find out a lot of things this way, but the two BIGGEST questions I have for any client are:

  1. What is your goal?
  2. Why is it important?

Most guys will answer the first question with, “I need to lose 40 lbs / I need to get rid of this gut / I don’t like the way I look in the mirror.” Ultimately, they all want to be healthy and fit.

But when I ask the second question (why is it important) the answers shift into deeper territory.

“Losing weight is going to put me in a better relationship with my wife / I’m going to have more energy for my kids / I’m going to perform better at work.”

When we move beyond the vanity piece, then I know my client is making the connection to the impact fitness will have on his life. If that happens, then it is much easier to lose weight and keep it off.

So what does that have to do with eating, and having a healthy relationship with food?

This is what it means: THE NUMBER ONE PROBLEM with maintaining fitness goals is that most men don’t have any personal accountability for the food they put into their mouths.

Let’s be honest. If you Google “best diet” you’ll get 800 results. Take the keto diet, which has you putting butter in coffee and bacon on avocados. But why?

Do you even know why you’re downing butter coffee or what it might be doing to you?

Instead of blindly glomming onto one diet fad after another, hoping something will work, why not begin asking “What about ME? What happens when I eat a potato? What happens when I drink milk? Those buttery coffees might work for some guys, but will it work for ME?”

The one-size-fits-all diets you’re googling don’t teach you ANYTHING about what might work for YOU, and you will never develop a healthy relationship with food if you hop from one fad diet to another.

In today’s podcast, you will learn how to lose weight and keep it off by understanding:

  • That your body is not a math equation or a roadmap, and that what works for some might not work for you.
  • How to eat in a way that moves beyond weight loss and into your deeper motivations for the life you want.
  • What it means to become a more intuitive eater so that these changes become habit.

If you have been asking yourself questions like, “Will I get abs if I eat this salad,” STOP.

Listen to the podcast and begin to develop a healthy relationship with food, lose weight and keep it off for good!
